The Scottish Government has published a consultation on the future of planning in Scotland.
"Places People and Planning" contains 20 broad proposals for change grouped under four key themes:
Along with four 'Key Questions', the consultation also asks 38 'Optional Technical Questions' and 45 subsidiary questions. The consultation document is available online and responses should be submitted to the Scottish Government by 5pm on 4 April 2017.
The consultation follows on from the publication in mid-2016 of the Independent Panel's report on the planning system which came up with 48 recommendations for change. More information on the background to the review is contained on the Scottish Government's Planning Reform Web Page.
